bowing out from 2006

just another week to go and we'll all be welcoming the new year! 2006 has certainly passed by like a lightning for me. started this new job in the middle of the year and now..it's already the last week of December?! where did the time go?? am quite psyched about the new year and all. hmm..i have so many things in mind that i wanna do..i just have to plan it all out nicely..among others, have to start looking for a school to apply for my PhD, start to get some things going for my research (this one's quite a drag), get the business going as well, write more articles and build my publication portfolio (aahh..dreams..which i hope will materialize)

anyway, i so wanna watch CINTA...but my hubby will not budge from his no-watching-malay-movie-at-the-cinema policy. hahaha..haii..kena tunggu vcd keluar la ni..in the mean time, i have the OST to imagine how the story is like. ;p

Nazim has been picking up quite a few things from school ever since he's been going for 5 days a week (we used to send him for only 3 day week). among others, he came back singing "jingle bells", and saying "merry christmas!" and...some other english expressions which left me quite in awe...kids do say the darnest things..

Aishah...she's starting to walk already and managed to take 4-5 steps these past few days. what an achievement!

i'm enjoying my days off from work..just yesterday, i pampered myself with a facial, the usual threading ritual, and for the first time, waxed my legs! i think i'm going to make the latter my monthly ritual..it's kinda nice..leaves my skin soft and silky. :)

take care people and happy holidays!

back on track

Hi,

After been gone for quite some time, i'm finally back...and i feel there's just so much to tell..well, let's start with the latest things that have been happening in my life. school is on break and has been for quite a while now, so, this is the time they use to train and do all sorts of things to you so that you are not bored to death in the office or at least trying to look busy..:) anyway, i was away at Rompin for a good 2 weeks and i'm just getting back to my old routine which i've left. it's quite hard, i must say..i mean, when i was away, my hubby took the responsibility of putting our son to sleep everynight (and this, folks, is not an easy task...it can take anywhere from 15 minutes to 2 hours!) while i, had to stay up for other reasons, like listening to boring lectures, and practising performances which would take place on the final night of the course. secretly, i was quite relieved to have gotten my uninterrupted sleep during the course, but of course, after a few days, the uninterrupted sleep didn't really matter to me. i miss sleeping in my own bed with my son and hubby....all in the same bed. i would talk on the phone with hubby in the morning just before he goes to work, and during lunch, and after work, and at night...i was still ok..until it went onto the second week...when i really miss them...

but i still had another week to go...so i just went on and made the best of the time i had left. it wasn't all that bad, especially the last few days. made a few good friends, and had fun dipping in the river for bath time (since there was no other water source). i also had the best time admiring God's creations, like the green leaves, the gigantic trees, the clear water trickling down from the mountains, the cool weather at the top of the hills, the amazingly cute mushrooms, and even the dried leaves on the grounds were pretty! MashaAllah! For someone who doesn't go into the jungle a lot, it was certainly a great experience and something i will treasure for a very very long time.

now what's left is just memories, and scars from the ever loyal pacats (i'm still scratching while typing this post). haha..

anyway, about the 'new' hobby that i mentioned in one of my posts earlier...hmm that too had to take a back seat for now..i make jewelry..necklaces and bracelets to be more precise. and have started selling them to friends and mom's friends..etc..so if i have time, i'll put up some pictures of my collection :)
