how i wish i was still in bed

what a sleepy monday morning it has been. it's now after lunch and i'm just hoping i won't doze off and fall on my lap top. so to keep myself awake and jump-start those sleepy nuerons in my head, i figured i'd blog a thing or two about my weekend.

what? where? when?
i was at Aquaria KLCC for the second time! This time, bringing along some of hubby's relatives from Pakistan. and boy..i cannot believe how many people were there! the place was packed with people and the line to get the tickets was long, but ran pretty smoothly, thank God. despite it being my second time, the place still gives me the thrill, looking at those colorful fish and corals, and just imagining how it would feel like to be amongst them in the water...when suddenly, i saw someone in a diver suit and tank on his back doing exactly that! wowwww...he must be having the time of his life! or...not...i don't know..wouldn't you feel just a little bit worried knowing that at any random minute, a baby shark will bite off your leg?! or arm? or thigh? when you're not even looking??? anyway, the feeling of joy would surmount fear when there's so many beautiful things around you. and among the people who were lucky to be in the aqurium was local celebs like amy mastura and sharifah amani. when i saw the latter's name tag on her suit, i thought to myself...is that really her? she looked like a 5 year-old kid in there...i know she's small and petite...but this is waaayy to small...then standing next to her was amy...and again, i thought, is this for real or is it just anybody in that scuba diving suit? because amy too looked too small from what i perceive her as. so...then i remember...things in there look 30% smaller than their actual size. no wonder they all look like midgets! anyway, nazim had a good time, and will keep on talking about it for the next few days...and more..

what else? i didn't watch what i ate over the weekend and now i'm feeling a little bloated and diminishing my attempt on losing a few kgs. need to lose weight..so that i can look nice in my going-to-be-lacey baju for my brother's wedding in Nov. nak pakai lace mana boleh nampak spare tyre...hiyaaa...manyak susah laaa..

here are some pictures from Aquaria! enjoy!

Bandung trip: part 2

i know the hiatus was pretty long since my last post, and i have yet to continue my story about bandung. ok, i'll try to make this the 2nd and last part, as it will get stale and fade away from my memory if i don't get to it soon. so...where were we...right..shopping...

so, the second day was dedicated solely to sight-seeing. we hired a supir, and a toyota unser, or kijang, as they call it there, and drove about one and a half hours to the famous Tangkuban Perahu, the volcanoe...it was the first time i ever saw a volcano crater and it was really a big one too! there was still smoke coming out from the crater and the smell of the surroundings...well, yeah, smelled like rotten eggs. the weather was cool, and we walked around the souvenir shops selling necklaces made from minerals from the tangkuban perahu (so they claimed), and other things made of wood. we took a break and had tea in one of the cute "warongs" while enjoying the cool air.

After that, it was off to the ciater hot springs, where we soaked our feet in the very hot but therapeutic water. we had to leave after a while though as the rain had caught up with us. oh well...then began our nightmare-ish journey to cibaduyut, a place well-known for its leather shoes and goods. it was such a LONG LONG drive and i kinda regretted that we went there. because by the time we got there, everybody was already tired from being too long in the car, and on top of that, the things there weren't that impressive either! major bummer! shouldn't have gone there, shouldn't have gone there.

anyway, that was that....and we all went back that night feeling very tired...but the next day, was much better. it was another kind of therapy...the one that is good for the soul and vanity, but not to the wallet! hehehe..you guessed it...more shopping! and this time, we went to the right places, all recommended by my friend who's been there before. hubby got himself some pretty good bargains with designer t-shirts while yours truly searched high and low for childrens' clothes and not to forget, a handbag. :)...and a wallet...and a nice one too..

so that's basically it...my bandung trip..we went back the next day, and happy to be back home. btw, evelyne, i tried the nasi lemak on the way there...it's alright lah, nothing to shout about. but my mom thinks it's good. on the way back, they were sold out. i only had a chocolate cupcake.
